Stop With the Recruiting Fashion Trends.

After reading this blog, I had mixed feelings. I agree with the author’s opinion that a passive job seeker does not necessarily make them more valuable in the interview process. I also think that active job seekers are a bit more hungry for a job opportunity and will work harder once they land the job they are looking for. 

I don’t agree that most recruiters and hiring managers are predominantly looking at passive sources when recruiting new talent. Those of us that have a brain in our head, and have been successfully recruiting top talent understand that sourcing qualified candidates isn’t an exact science-you have to try many methods of sourcing (referrals, job boards, CL, LI, social media, what have you) to truly find the MOST QUALIFIED candidates for your open job positions.
